This was a definite low point in the series for me, but mostly because I am in no way here for the whole ~John Cleaver, FBI Agent~ plot line. I mean obviously I'm already suspending a lot of disbelief here with the whole ancient demons thing, but now you want me to believe that the FBI just decides to drag two 17 year old kids along with them on their monster hunting vendetta and also that their families are fine with that? I mean John's family maybe, but Brooke's?

Anyway, the whole thing just felt entirely pointless to me, which is unfortunate since actually quite a bit happened at the end. I also didn't care at all about any of the new characters, but (view spoiler). I'm hoping the next book will be more to my liking since (view spoiler) and I hope that Brooke becomes more of a character again and less of a plot device.
