it was amazing
bookshelves: non-fiction, writing-development

A comprehensive guide on how to increase your reader's interest/investment in your writing by understanding how to tweak their brain.

Some of the advice is fairly standard, but now it is explained to us why these things are so effective for readers. Understanding the neuroscience behind it all is very exciting.

My only issue is several times the book would reference upcoming chapters content, and this might be a very personal taste thing but I always hate when an educational book says "do this by doing this and this other thing we'll teach you later". just bugs me ;p hardly a deal breaker.
