This is not a sequel to Austen Land, it's another novel set in the same place. Charlotte has gone numb after her husband left her for another woman. She's thrown herself into her business, which is very successful, and her two children. But she finally realizes that she needs something more--a vacation. A perfectly nice woman, Charlotte cares for everyone else and ignores her own needs. But this is Austen Land with a difference--even the imperious Mrs. Wattlesbrook seems worried about the state of Pembrook Park and the plans of her husband. Charlotte starts to get suspicious--but of course she's just being silly, a la Catherine Morland. She's also about to be swept off her feet by a brusque, handsome guest (actor), who seems to be sincere.
