Read 2 times. Last read February 1, 2020 to February 3, 2020.

Jan 2020: listened to the audio for the second go-round, and yes, it was still awesome

2019: The third entry in this cleverly written series centers around a plot to disrupt Elizabeth's coronation. The characters have become old friends now and they are engaging, interesting, and fun. The story is well-written with clues and red herrings all over the place. Max Mephisto, the magician, reminds us often to watch for misdirection and yet the reader and the characters are often caught off-guard. DI Edgar Stephens is a wonderful hero who is kind and self-effacing. I love this series.
