really liked it
bookshelves: graphic-novels, magic-realism

This is a beautiful not-quite Christmas story (strong Christmas themes but not set at Christmas time itself for the most part)

The art is super cute and the concept is so cool and original but the ending felt rushed and left too many threads open and questions unanswered to be truly satisfying, but it's so cute and squishy you forgive it for that.

The main characters are well-rounded, but due to the number of characters needed for certain elements (I'm trying to avoid using the spoiler tag by being vague ;p ) there's so many characters that don't get anywhere near the amount of page time you'd like. This would work so great as a little series, even a duology, so some of those loose threads could be wrapped up and the other characters get a little more attention(and you wouldn't need to work hard to find the drama to sustain a little more story ;p ).
