I tend to borrow any new book that comes in to the library with the word 'vegan' in it. I only skimmed through this book though because I'm not at all interested in weight loss.
It was full of lots of convincing reasons for going vegan, most of which I've read before (I've been vegan for 10 years).
However, I did jot down a few interesting statistics for slipping into conversations:
-On average, the immune cells of vegetarians are twice as effective at destroying their targets (cancer, viruses) as the immune cells of meat eaters.
- 2010 reported finding of fecal(yeah, that's poo) contamination is 90% of poultry, 75% of beef and 43% of pork.

Food for thought....
