really liked it
bookshelves: 2020-reads, contemporary, diverse, set-in-texas, young-adult

So basically this book is Ben Platt's Emergency Contact song but set in Texas with Emo folks.

It was a sweet read with a bit of angst. Also, i really hate Sam's mom and Celeste is *not my fav*

But Penny and Sam are adorable and I want to protect them at all costs.

Also, I never got how Sam and Jude are related, I was just a bit confused about that relationship. But way too lazy to go back and reread the explanation.

and as I said, i didn't like Celeste or the guilt tripping involved in Penny's relationship with her.
