's review

Gabrielle Zevin wrote a fascinating YA novel about the afterlife. What happens to a soul before it returns to earth in the body of a newborn? Imagine going to a place called "Elsewhere" and living life backwards until that moment of rebirth! If a soul died at 85 they go back year after year after year until they reach 0! That's the premise for this creative novel. An imaginative perspective on life and death with a MC that's both snarky and sweet. And boy did I love how the novel opens - such a unique "voice".
What a "lighter" novel that looks at life after death? This is it!
