The world in this story was incredibly unique. It took me a bit to get into it, but somewhere around the halfway point, I couldn't put it down. The idea of the prison was intriguing and baffling, and the mysteries at court kept me quickly turning pages. That said, the reason for my lack of stars I THINK has more to do with the fact that I'm not the target. I just...didn't love it. The story has a more dark and desperate flare than I prefer.

Madeline That's a great one!!! I need to grab a copy of the second one.

Barbara I'm glad to hear! I'm not that far yet. It's been kinda hectic and I'm having a hard time getting into the story, though it may be related to said chaos???
