did not like it
bookshelves: classics, did-not-finish

Weird, rambling, and I still don't see a plot.
Was tempted by the great reviews, but this book is not for me.

Andrea (Catsos Person) is a Compulsive eBook Hoarder I see this book won the June poll. I've just looked at the blurb. I don't think this is for me...

Katy Yes, but I am willing to give it another try.

Steve Penner Our reading group did this a few years ago. Yes it is bizarre and difficult to understand. Some of that had to do with Bulgakov having to get past the Soviet censors. So it is very oblique and obtuse. It really helps to do it as a group and have someone who is familiar with it help out with the explanations. It actually made sense after the discussion.

We are reading this for June in the "Catching up on Classics" group. You should join us there.
