really liked it

Finally, I started this incredibly interesting and adventurous adult fantasy, and I enjoyed every bit of the journey. Summarizing my thoughts below:

-The world building is captivating and atmospheric. A dark and magical world, full of cursed and verboten monsters, mighty Devas the powerful yet unjust Djinns (also Devas but with a twist) and the rebellious shafit (of mixed blood).
-The characters are all in the grey zone, which is interesting because that brings some epic plot twists.
-The dialogues are particularly hilarious, which gives the serious plot a break from being monotonous and cumbersome.
-That ending.
-The pace is painfully slow. Even though the story is appealing and action-packed, the pace made me put the book down multiple times.

Now, hopping on to the next book. This feeling of the sequel waiting for me is extraordinary :P
