really liked it

This book is absolutely heartbreaking and eye opening. Written from the perspective of a fiercely perceptive young man who must have been a wonder when he was a child, it provides you with a really vivid sense of the dynamic of Southie. Reading it gave me a much better understanding of the protests, bus riots, and the overall violence in that community. If you were like me and were dying to learn more about Southie after watching "The Departed" I'd certainly read it.
