3.5 This book was a really rich family story and I think well done. But I thought most of the characters were annoying or unreasonable and hated how Lynn and Kat treated Gemma. The sisters seem so immature and petty in their reactions and ways they treat one another that I can’t believe they’d actually be so close or in their 30s.

Also, the narration in this audiobook was baffling. I didn’t get why they bothered with different (attempted) accents for people who are supposed to be nationalities other than Australian when we just get British accents for the Australians in the first place?

I was also confused with the time period when this takes place. They have cell phones but reference listening to the internet dial up.
