This historical fiction epic is worth a read. I suspect that some of the popularity of the book is attributable to the english literature major anglophiles. But, so long as you are a lover of historical fiction, this book is worth it. Almost everyone warned me of the long, boring sections describing the architecture. I kept waiting for these sections, but I never found them. I never thought the descriptions were that long, or that boring. There are so many historical figures in this book, I enjoyed looking them up afterwards to get the "real" story.

Pang wow, this book is a beast! how are you doing with it? i really like Ken Follett, but the thickness of it deters me :(

Jill Well, I'm trying to finish Unbroken first, but I downloaded the book. I've been daunted by its size for some time, but I finally had one too many person tell me that I should read it.
