it was amazing
bookshelves: fantasy, fiction

Just read this for the second time (sept-oct 2020). For some reason I couldn't remember much of it as I started but that just meant re-discovering this world. It is rather brutal at times in terms of extreme violence and gory and sometimes wholesale death but in the context of the story it makes sense. The world in the book and its inhabitants are credible enough -even though a lot of what they do violates a few laws of physics but then so does FTL in science-fiction and without it the galactic spans of many of those stories is impossible -the world in the book is consistent, as far as I could tell and that is all you can ask. I enjoyed it and now that I've re-discovered it, will indeed read the rest of the trilogy.
