it was amazing

"Girls Like Us" is an inspiring book which sparked my interest in the heartbreaking cause. Human trafficking is not often thought about, and this book expressed the reality of it. Telling the tragic stories of young women and girls in the industry gave me a different perspective of these terrible events. Rachel Lloyd, the author and creator of GEMS demonstrates the battle against sexual exploitation, and raises awareness in the situation. Though the stories of these innocent people are shocking and unfortunate, they present the strive to end the battle of trafficking and the progress that has already been made. Slowly but surely the fight to end girls in "the life" is occurring.
