really liked it
bookshelves: read-2012

This one was a hard read for me. Ellen Hopkins' writing style is fantastic. She makes you feel like the characters are real people, really going through these situations. And I think that's what made this one so hard. Teen prostitution is a tough subject, and Hopkins doesn't hold back. There were scenes where I was literally cringing at what some of these teens were going through. This is the type of book you can say you enjoyed. But I'm very glad I read it. I just have Hopkins' Crank series to read and I'll be caught up on all her books. Definitely going to have to take a break and read some lighter books before diving into those though. :)

Shelly♥ I got about 150 pages into this one and had to stop. I will probably pick it up again, but not as engaging as some of her other stuff. Loved Crank, Impulse and Burned series....
