really liked it

I very much liked this book. It was fun, easy to read, entertaining, delightful. I have read subsequent books by this author. Flavia de Luce is a character in and of herself. She is bright and cunning, percocious, high spirited. She would be a difficult child to raise, but in this series she is great to read about. My only criticism is that she is just a tad bit unbelievable as a child character here. Though in some ways more mature for her age, she still is a child and sometimes it is hard to believe she knows all the things she knows and has the capacity to think as a more mature adult with much more experience about life, etc. This is a 4+ rating for me. I love this series and will continue reading them for their charm and personality and I would recommend them to some mystery readers who would also find them delightful. This series is probably more a woman's mystery reader audience.
