Carlos is a teenager who dreams of becoming a makeup artist. When he gets the chance, can he do so while also keeping his friendships intact? What I like about this book is that it's funny, clever, and isn't as much about the character dealing with his identity, but more about him pursuing something he's always wanted. A little unbelievable at times, but I enjoyed it.
