it was amazing
bookshelves: bloodhound-books, crime, mystery, suspense, would-recommend

Kat believes her husband Leon is a reputable businessman. It's not until she meets Mouse (Beth) and Nan (Doris) that she begins to find out her husband isn't what he seems.

I really enjoyed this story. Although it does contain numerous murders, it seemed lighter in tone than Waller's previous work. I liked the three main female characters, but especially Doris. She made me laugh more than once.

The plot is quite complex with current murder and attempted murder cases linking back to unsolved cold cases from years ago. There are a lot of characters too, but the story never feels confusing.

I'm looking forward to continuing with the next book in the trilogy and seeing what Kat and Mouse investigate next.
