really liked it
bookshelves: contemporary-realistic-fiction, picture-book, informational

This is a great book for preschool-elementary children, especially to help explain adoption. It shows that not all children and/or familes are the same. Adoption is one aspect of family life that is overlooked many times and can be confusing to young children. I also think that it is important to stress that not all adoptions are exactly alike and this is only one way it may happen. I would also be preared to discuss questions that children may ask from reading this book such as other reasons children are adopted.
