it was amazing
bookshelves: feminist, society, science-fiction, dystopia

Margaret Atwood is a skillful writer and always writes believable characters. I have read many of her books twice though some of the hard core lesbian feminist ones I do not find as interesting.

I found this book to be quite plausible and can see how our society could easily go in this direction in the not so distant future. I like that she made it more bearable by making the character get out of this horrible prison like situation in the end and letting us know that it was just a brief blip in our history. it would be to terrible to have left the society in this dark era as the book ended.
