This was a strange book. India, Finn, and Mouse are sent to live with their uncle in Colorado, until their mother can join them. But when they get off the plane, nothing turns out as the kids expect. They end up in a kind of limbo-land where everything has the appearance of being perfect, but there is a deadline for deciding if they want to stay. The epilogue ends the book quite nicely, and hopefully the kids will not be quick to forget their new-found love of, and dependence on each other.

The audio recording included different narrators for each kid.
