it was amazing
bookshelves: adventure-and-scifi

This book encompassed every horror caving movie and then some! Reenforcing my idea that anyone who goes spelunking is certifiable, the author's imagination of an underground "world" was amazingly terrifying. Don't get attached to any one character...chances are good they'll meet a bad end. From Russian bad guys to Star Wars reminiscent sand worms, the possibilities of ways to die gave me the creeps added to the claustrophobic darkness and unknown, I needed a Xanax before reading. And while you might think I hated this book due to subject matter, the sheer psychological response that'll probably give me nightmares tonight is why this was a freaking awesome 5 star read!
