I didn’t enjoy this book. I wasn’t drawn in by the story and the writing was okay but nothing spectacular. And the characters felt two dimensional to me. And Henry? What an awful awful person. The story is told from his POV and I hated him. I know he’s supposed to be unlikeable but God. I honestly didn’t care what happened to him. Or any of the characters for that matter.

There was a lot of sex in this book, but that didn’t bother me at all. I just wasn’t sure if the scenes were well-written since I don’t read many books with explicit sex in them. But there were some descriptions that did have me rolling my eyes.

From looking at other reviews it looks like the majority of readers really liked Cape May. It was a quick read and despite my dislike of it I did read it all.

I can see this being a really popular vacation or beach read.
