Em yêu anh yêu em.

A quick read for a quick summer romance story!

This follow-up to The Kiss Quotient was a lot sweeter and less steamy than its predecessor. I loved that this ultimately turned out to be a story about love for oneself. Both Khai and Esme believe they are unworthy or incapable of love, and I loved seeing their growth throughout the story, although Khai got to be extremely frustrating at times. The miscommunication and romantic tropes to keep them apart went on a little too long, but the end of the book had me teary-eyed.

The best scenes of the book tended to be the ones with Khai's brother, Quan, so if the next book isn't focused on him, I WILL RIOT.

The author's note is not to be missed! It puts the entire story and character of Esme into a brand new light. Esme is an amazing woman, and she helped elevate this from a simple romance to a story of a motivated, determined young immigrant. Another must-read from Helen Hoang!

Lips to lips, hearts melting together, no distance between them, not even an arm's length.
