it was amazing

This book was hard to put down and difficult to believe that this is Alender's debut novel. The story was very compelling and had some wonderful twists and turns throughout. Alexis was a relatable character and a lot of the other characters were fleshed out well, though some could have been used more or had more dimensions to them. I really enjoyed the paranormal aspect of this, dealing with possession, as it's not something usually seen in the YA world. A lot of outlining and planning must have been used in writing this book, what with all the connections made throughout and mysteries that had to be solved. I also liked the romance aspect of this, though it is only a small bit of the book; it was fun seeing Alexis and Carter banter as well as connect emotionally. Alender did a really good job with this book, and she is definitely someone to keep an eye out for!
