it was amazing

This is a beautiful book that really does a good job of being a bridge between MG and YA. There is a character trying to lose weight in this story, so if you don't want that in a body image narrative, be aware. But the whole point of the book is that this boy is so much more than his weight, even though that is what everyone sees. A very moving look at growing up.

Maria Estrada This sounds like a great book for my nine-year-old to read, who is already developing body issues. It is such a struggle, and I am not sure where he gets it from, because we teach him body acceptance at home, to both our kids.

Amanda Rawson Hill I loved it. Another good one that is already out would be GOOD ENOUGH and YOU ARE ENOUGH both by Jen Petro Roy.
