I read this after reading Murdock's follow up "Wisdom's Kiss." I actually enjoyed this one more. Possibly this is because it's in a more traditional story form, instead of the tale in letters/diaries that makes up "Wisdom's Kiss." Still, I found Ben a far more engaging heroine. She was much more likeable than her grandaugher Dizzy for certain! This is a good read for fans of fairy tales who don't want their parallels to be too obvious. It makes a great girl read in particular.
