Unfortunately, I was unable to finish Peter Green and the Unliving Academy. The book is not written badly, but it has a lot of issues, and, unfortunately, I don't see myself returning to it any time soon. My main problem with this book is that it is EXCEPTIONALLY similar to the Harry Potter series - and I don't mean only in terms of characters, mythical creatures, and even plot - the writing style of this book really reminded me of J. K. Rowling's infamous series. It's essentially trying to do the same thing, but not quite as efficiently.

Although I DNF this book, I don't think it's fair to give it a one-star review: the plot holds together, and it is original in parts. It is mainly my personal preference and bad timing that means I am currently unwilling to continue with this book.
