Susanna Rogers steps away from futuristic YA and onto the backstage behind the rock scene in this contemporary romance. Nick Steel is a hero who is used to getting what he wants. Money, women, alcohol, everything his rock star image desires. The tagline says it all: "Rocking all night, rolling in money, now he’s picking up the pieces." A visit from his ex, Lily Novak, and a reminder of his responsibilities off the stage has Nick reassessing the road his life is taking. He makes an effort that softens Lily's heart, but she knows he'll only break it again if she lets him. There are some brilliant lines from the author that will have you highlighting the heck out of this read. Strong, emotional, confronting, tender and engaging. It's a really good read.
