it was amazing

Though I typically avoid medical based series, I really enjoy this one. It equally mixes medical drama, romance, fast paced suspense, and terrorist response with military/first responder type action. It's definitely a perfect mix. I'd have to say that this one was my favorite of the series so far because the two main characters were fantastic. They each had more than their fair share of baggage left over from a life of service. It left Gunner grumpy and both of them more than a little broken. The wonderful thing is how well they fit to each other's broken pieces. I loved their witty back and forth banter because it made me smile. Their chemistry was more of the explosive type than a slow burn, but it worked. As for the plot line and action, it was fast paced and believable in a very scary way. I also enjoyed the interplay between Dozer and Rodriguez. I hope they get the next book.

I received an ARC from Net Galley.
