There is a reason that Hemingway is a famous writer...he is good at it. He can write smoothly and fluently runs the stories along. This is not one of my favorites of his but it is good reading. If you are a game hunter then it is great. I enjoyed the descriptions of the country and the animals, but I have trouble with the blatant shooting and killing animals for no reason other than they are there and man can kill them if they have a gun. Not a fair fight. It was hard to read the beautiful descriptions of the exotic animals just to end in death.
