really liked it
bookshelves: cozy-mysteries, mysteries
Read from January 27 to February 18, 2012

This one was even better than the first book in the series and it was
full of wonderful descriptions, characters and mysteries. Susan Wittig Albert has created a delightful place of fiction and yet brings in some very real historical figures into her story. Again there recipes, household hints and gardening information. So if someone enjoys gardening and cooking they are sure to enjoy these stories set in this little town where the ladies of the Darling Dahlias are the super sleuthes and they can create beautiful gardens too! The very real facts of the Depression are written about but not in a depressing way. I am certainly looking forward to reading more about Lizzy, Verna, Myra May and all the other members of the Club and residents of this little Alabama town. I also look forward to reading Wittig Albert's other series. She is a real treat!
