it was amazing
bookshelves: kept-my-attention, quick-reads, well-done, 2012-read, 5-star
Read from January 26 to February 01, 2012

I've got to admit that there are few things that I think are "amazing", but I thought that this book deserved the most stars that I could give it. I would prefer the five star books to be the ones that "I really like." Two stars could then be less than OK. So from now on, think of my "amazing" list as books that I really liked, and I mean really!

Anyway, this is the type of story that seems simple, but it is so well told and believable that you just sort of feel like you're observing, rather than reading. No real bells or whistles to keep your attention, just honest to goodness story-telling with solid characters; characters that you can easily identify with and feel as though you have met.

It may be worth mentioning that this is a very poignant story, not recommended for those who like everything wrapped up with a nice tidy bow.
