“We all have reasons for our judgments, even if those reasons are so deeply buried we don’t recognize them ourselves.”
Another mystery from Greer Hendricks that comes at the narrative from multiple perspectives. Two first person characters weave an intricate story between a psychiatrist and her study participant, and the relationships that connect them. A story of manipulation, control, coercion, and deceit, as well as the experiences in our past that guide our current decision making. It is a bit too obvious and misses some great opportunities for plot twists, which the book seems to call for.
