Read the audiobook
For a series full of gross violence and magical manipulation, these books fill me with such creative joy. The stakes are so much higher, each arc splits away towards their own objectives, and Silyen continues being my favorite. I really like the feeling of unsafety in this book, where no one can be trusted or be trusted to be kept alive. Plus, the visuals are incredible and left me shivering.
I am not emotionally prepared to relisten to the third book, because holy heck, what a finely crafted sequel.
