I give the author kudos for creating a very unique world where nuclear holocaust survivors are fused with all kinds of materials, including being fused to animate objects like other humans and nature's creatures. It was hard to wrap my mind around the likeliness that someone could live with a hand-held electric fan imbedded in his throat. But I give the author credit for creating the possibility of such a thing.

The novel was well-written. The characters could have been better developed. Entertaining enough, but I won't be reading the next in the series.
