did not like it

In the book prior to this one I was highly uncomfortable with the portrayal of sex with underage girls. In this book Pier's sounds like an advocate of it. I had fond memories of the series and decided to re-read them and I am very sorry I did. The originals in the series were enjoyable, but I am very sorry to see original thought fall into nothing more than an excuse to justify sex with underage girls who are clearly "experienced"
I am sorry to see the final concept is a world that hinged on the "delightful figures" of 15 year old girls and older men's sexual desire or fantasy relating to young girls.

message 1: by Dale (new)

Dale Richardson I had to throw it down when he essentially gave a sex toy to a 13 year old girl so that she could 'be ready' No. too far this time.

Dale Richardson Ahh yes, the "if you don't agree with me you don't know anything" argument.

Karen I always find the you suck - stay out of my stuff attitude interesting. I am glad you liked the book Patrick - again I will always have a soft spot for Mr. Anthony - still my opinion is my opinion. No need to be rude.

Tobinsfavorite He wrote another one? I had no idea. (I stopped reading him with "Firefly". Other people can have the soft porn. I'm not interested.)

message 5: by Dru (new)

Dru Piers Anthony has LONG shown his pseudo-pedophilic side. His obsession with young girls panties is blatant in the Xanth series, and it seems that every time I pick up ANYTHING he's written that I enjoyed when I was younger, I now realize that he is incapable of leaving sex out. Phase, Xanth, Incarnations of Immortality. All of it, I now see, have a very uncomfortable level of sex, very often centered around younger people.
