Dead Leaves – Nine Tales From The Witching Season is the third collection of short stories that I have read by Kealan Patrick Burke, the first being Dead of Winter, and then We Live Inside Your Eyes (Loved it!).

I enjoyed reading all the short stories in Dead Leaves; my favorites are:


‘Someone To Carve The Pumpkins’ – I wasn’t expecting that ending, which broke my heart, but I loved it.


‘Tonight The Moon Is Ours’

‘The Toll’

‘Will You Tell Them I Died Quietly?’

‘The One Night Of The Year'

Burke also includes two awesome lists, from his personal library, of books and movies to check out if you are looking for a good old-fashioned scare during the witching season. There are quite a few books and movies I’m going to check out, some are favorites, and many are new to me.
