Shakespeare's Restless World: A Portrait of an Era in Twenty Objects

Wonderful book! This volume paints a picture of the life of William Shakespeare and the world in which he lived by examining a series of objects that each tell us something about the world at that time: an Elizabethan-era clock, a map of the world, a pamphlet, a fork, a sword, and more. It's a fascinating and wonderful approach to making history tactile and real. I loved it, and anyone interested in the Elizabethan era or Shakespeare in general should read this.
