This book is unique but strange.

In the prologue, we learn the heroine can detect people and map them out on her mind. Weird, but fine. She runs into an older man, discovers werewolves exist and moves in with the werewolf, agreeing to participate in mate meeting gatherings.

Old werewolf gramps tells half truths the entire time, and, thankfully, the heroine stops tolerating it around mid book. I don't enjoy when the main character, the heroine, is kept in the dark by secondary characters. In this book, everyone always knows something the heroine doesn't.

Miscommunication, or lack thereof, was also heavy. The hero doesn't talk until the last 10% of the book. I thought there would be a great or at least interesting reason for this. (view spoiler)

The ending was abrupt and leads into the next couple.
