Reread. I enjoyed it once again. Stories of four women born in China juxtaposed with the stories of their American daughters.

Val sad for me, my memory is of the movie not the book

Susan I never saw the movie. It just amazes me how the older women can be living lives from a former century in China, and then come to America and adjust to 20th century lives as well as they do. Their stories interest me much more than those of their daughters.
