I have been revisiting some semi-forgotten series I had started. I enjoyed the first Desden Files book (as well as the TV series) and on a whim picked up book 2 after a long hiatus. It could have been my mood when I read it, but I wasn't enamored with the massive amounts of battles. I realize that is kind of the premise of the series, but I felt like all I read was fight scene after fight scene after fight scene.

I'll give the third book a try when I'm in a different head space and see what I think. But if the series continue to be all fight scenes I'll probably let it go even though I really like the characters and the world building.
