I have mixed feelings about this one. I love books by Koontz but this one didn't quite do it for me. The concept was intriguing and I did enjoy the mystery quite a bit but i didn't have a person to attach to. As in there were so many characters introduced, i couldn't really bond with one or two and root for them. I understand why there were so many but I didn't feel like I knew them or could relate to them. I liked a few but in the end I didn't know who to want to survive or why I wanted them to. I almost wish witness was better developed. He was such a small part of the book but he was so utterly important. also what's with the radio couple. . . I feel like they were developed in detail for a reason but was never told why. . . Maybe it was cut from the final draft, who knows. So all in all 77 Shadow Street was decent but wasn't my favorite Koontz book even though the idea was interesting.
