really liked it
bookshelves: 2012-books, children-s-literature

The final book that finishes out the series - a group of novella-style stories, each about 4-6 chapters, filling in the answers to fan questions and the such, a sort of extended epilogue, wrapping up the series, getting characters married off, telling origin stories and the like. Read it to discuss with my nephew, to whom I gave this for Christmas. We haven't discussed the book yet, but in passing he commented to me that he really liked the way the book begins, which is with a modern day archeological dig that uncovers these lost stories. I think he, as a fan of science and history and the "real" things of this world, loves that sense of "this really happened."
