it was amazing

Garnet recently adopted a kitten because Steven is really growing up these days, and she wants someone "cute and vulnerable" to take care of. However, the new cat, Cat Steven, is maybe more vulnerable than Garnet thought. She can predict the cat's needs with her future vision, but she doesn't necessarily know how to provide for them; she's an ancient alien made out of light, so how can she really understand the fragility of an baby organic creature? To the rescue with expert animal knowledge: Steven and his best friend Connie! Turns out Garnet may have more to learn about caring for a cat than she thought.

This is truly adorable. Cats are cute and Garnet is incredible, so the two of them together are almost too much to handle. The Gems in the show really are curiously ignorant about the needs of organic creatures despite having lived among humanity for more than 5,000 years, so even though it sure is weird that wise old Garnet thinks she can "hydrate" a cat by spraying it with a water bottle, it does have an established precedent. Probably the cutest is when Garnet is playing with the cat and doesn't really know how to do it, but you can totally see how much love she is developing for her furry little baby. It's precious and anyone who likes Steven Universe, Garnet, or cats should read this.
