In Alex Cross #3, serial killers, who have named themselves Jack & jill, are taking over D.C. by coldly and methodically killing popular and high-profile people. At the same time, 2 small black children, who attend Damon Cross's elementary school, are found brutally murdered. Is Gary Soneji back in D.C.? Is he taunting Alex Cross? The FBI and the White House need Cross's help, though Nana Mama says the black community here at home need him more. He balances both. Again, patterson does a great job of keeping you guessing as to who Jack & Jill are, and to who the Sojourner Truth school killer is. Alex starts to fall for the principal at Damon's school. After they solve the murders, Soneji contacts Alex. He's backkkkk.
