it was amazing
bookshelves: younger-elementary

A very sweet story of a calf and a tractor becoming friends. Super predictable, and probably good for many lessons on children's picture books. It has sweeping pictures that lead you from left to right and wanting to turn the page... and of course lots of rhythm, rhyme, and repetition. Young students enjoyed the predictability and of course making the tractor noises. A good choice for preschool storytime, but I had 2nd graders who loved it as well.

Anneliese Garner I use Otis and the Tornado with First Graders when they are doing their weather unit (grade shifted this year?). The illustrations and story really support non-fiction book and video info about tornadoes.
