I didn't finish it, so I have no credibility here, but I'll share my opinion anyway.
What this book had going for it, new research, Culper ring, George Washington father of our country after all, secret codes, invisible ink, SPIES!!! I also thought it was interesting that the author was born in but did not grow up in the US, I wonder if that helped him be objective. It was a fun look at this slice of history.
Why I didn't finish, it was mostly because I have other books I'm trying to get to and this was just slow and dry. Some historians can tell a story, some can tell historical facts, some can do both, some can't.
